Ichagarh Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Comprised of a population of 83,099 people according to the 2011 Census, the town of Ichagarh falls under the Seraikella-Kharsawan district. The Ichagarh assembly constituency belongs to the Ranchi parliamentary constituency. It is represented by the JVM (Jharkhand Vikas Morcha). The seat of MLA was previously occupied by JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha). Arvind Kumar Singh won the assembly elections 2009 by besting Bishwa Ranjan Mahato of the AJSUP (All Jharkhand Students Union Party) by a huge margin. Singh received 45465 votes over Mahato’s 27829 votes.
