Parliamentary constituencies of Goa

There are 2 Parliamentary constituencies in Goa : North Goa and South Goa. It has not reserved any constituency for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Goa has a total population of 14,94,198 people. The state has about 10,57,499 total voters (as on 2nd Jan 2014). It has 10,33,188 total EPIC holders. There are about 28,646 first time voters and approximately 1,28,111 voters are in the age group of 18-25 which is about 12.11% of the total voters population. In this, 50% ( 5,28,799) are women voters. Interestingly, women voters have outnumbered men voters for the first time since last two Lok Sabha Elections(2004 & 2009). The state also has 27 overseas voters.

With a literacy rate of 88.7%, Goa is said to be highly literate state. Male literacy rate (92.65%) is higher than the female literacy rate (82.16%).
