Parliamentary constituencies of Kerala

Kerala has a total of 20 parliamentary constituencies. Out of which, 2 are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates namely Alathur and Mavelikkara and none are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.

Total number of voters in the state is 2,37,92,270 which is about 72% of the total population. The interesting fact in this is that the total number of female voters (1,23,49,343) is more in number than male voters (1,14,42,927). The number of polling stations in the state is 21,424.

Kerala is said to be the most literate state in the country with a literacy rate of 93.91% . The state has a very high gender ratio with 1084 females per 1000 males. And the total population in the state is about 3,34,06,061. In this, there are about 1,60,27,412 men and 1,73,78,649 women.
