Parliamentary Constituencies of Meghalaya

There are 2 parliamentary constituencies in Meghalaya namely: Shillong and Tura. None of these two are reserved for SC or ST candidates.

The total voter population in the state comes out to be around 15,53,028. In this, about 22.62% are in the age group of 18-25 years which means they are maiden voters. There are 2,562 polling stations in Meghalaya.

Meghalaya has a total population of 2,966,889 as per 2011 Census. In this, about 1,491,832 are men and 1,475,057 are women. Meghalaya has a literacy rate of 74.43%. The gender ratio is 989 females per 1000 males.
