Election in Nagaland 2014
Nagaland is one of the small state situated in the north eastern part of India. It was earlier the part of Assam and later in 1963 it was divided to form a separate state. There is only a single constituency in the state. The general elections will take place during the second phase on 9th April.

The constitutional head of the state is Governor and he is appointed by the President of India. The executive powers resides in the hands of Chief Minister. He along with his council of ministers runs the state government. The legislature is unicameral and has a Legislative Assembly with 60 seats.
