Elections in Pondicherry 2014

Pondicherry is an union territory that will have general elections on 24th April, 2014. The chief electoral officer is responsible for conducting a peaceful and unbiased elections in Pondicherry. Different political parties are not leaving any stone overturned so as to make their victory sure in the elections.

Administration Process

When it comes to the administration of Pondicherry, the constitutional head of the state is Lieutenant Governor and he is appointed by the central government. It is one of the two union territories to have a chief minister run the place. It has unicameral Legislature with Legislative Assembly consisting of 30 seats.
