Daryapur Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Daryapur is a city situated at the banks of river Chandrabhaga in Amravati district of Maharashtra. The place got its name from the king of Berar Darya Imad Shah. The place is famous for cotton production. The population of the city is 175,061 according to the census of 2011. This constituency is a part of Amravati parliamentary constituency and is reserved for Scheduled Castes. Capt Anandrao Adsul of SHS is the present MLA. He won the seat by 40606 seats against Balwant Baswant Wankhade who was an independent candidate.
