Nagpur Central Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Nagpur Central is one of the 288 assembly constituencies of the State of Maharashtra; it is also a part of the district of Nagpur. The assembly constituency of Nagpur Central is a part of parliamentary constituency of Nagpur. The MLA seat is the stronghold of the Indian National Congress here. The major population of the constituency comprises of Muslims. Kumbhare Vikas Shankarrao of the BJP was the victor in the 2009 assembly elections and is the current MLA. He was victorious over Dr. Ramchandra of INC. Shankarrao and received 56312 votes over Ramchandra’s 45521 votes.
