Nagpur South Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

The region of Nagpur South is a part of district of Nagpur of Maharashtra. The Nagpur South assembly constituency belongs to parliamentary constituency of Nagpur. Exceptional to the 1995 and 1999 assembly elections which were won by BJP candidate, the INC has always won from the South Nagpur constituency. Dinanath Deorao Padole, candidate of INC was victorious in the 2009 assembly elections and is the present MLA. He was victorious over Kishor Ratanlal Kumeriya of SHS with a promising margin. Padole secured 69711 votes over Kumeriya’s 39316 votes.
