GENERAL (Lok Sabha) Elections Results 2014 State Wise

 
General Elections is the process followed to form the central government of India. It is the chance for the Indian citizens to choose their own government by the process of voting. Elections are conducted when the current government completes its term or when the government is dissolved. To form a government, party should win 272 seats out of the total of 543.
 

Prominent political parties in India

Bharatiya Janta Party

BJP has been in the opposition now for the last 10 years. It has important leaders like L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Narendra Modi, etc. Party feels that it has a strong chance of coming back to power after the current government got involved in many scams and came under corruption charges. The party has projected Narendra Modi as their prime ministerial candidate of the party.

Indian National Congress

INC is one of the oldest party of the country and is in governance for the past 10 years. The party president is Sonia Gandhi and the vice president is Rahul Gandhi. Mr. Manmohan Singh who is the prime minister of India is campaigning for the party.

Aam Aadmi Party

AAP is a small party which emerged out from the discontent of the people towards the government after recurring scams. It won the Delhi Assembly elections and defeated the chief minister Sheila Dikshit. AAP leader Kumar Viswas is standing against Rahul Gandhi in the coming Lok Sabha elections. The entry of the AAP in the Lok Sabha elections will definitely turn out to be like the twist in the story.
 

GENERAL (16TH LOK SABHA) 2014 ELECTION RESULTS Dates

The 2014 Lok Sabha elections will be held in nine phases between 7th April – 12th May. The result will be declared on 16th May. The results will decide the fate of the UPA government which is in power for the last 10 years. The government has faced public protest for various reasons. There is dissatisfaction among the mass for the same. Corruption and emergence of new scams now and then has effected the image of the party badly.

In the last election, UPA won 262 seats and formed the government. The term of the government will end on 31st May, 2014.

India Lok Sabha elections 2014

The elections of the 16th Lok Sabha have been scheduled to take place between the months of April and May, from 7th April to 12th May comprising of 9 Phases. The Lok Sabha elections of 2014 results date have been scheduled to take place on 16th May 2014. The Indian National Congress led United People’s Alliance Government 10 year Government will be thoroughly tested as the nation looks forward to the crucial Lok Sabha elections of 2014. The Congress suffered a strong defeat and opposition in the Assembly elections of 2013, which is an indicator of the people’s changed opinion of the UPA Government, which has widely been termed as corrupt and inefficient in its Governance. With the BJP looking to revive their political footprint by announcing CM of Gujarat Narendra Modi as their Prime Ministerial candidate, the Lok Sabha elections of 2014 will be an uphill battle for the country founding political party.

The 15th Lok Sabha election was held in the year 2009 during the period of April-May, in which the UPA Government had emerged victorious for the second time. The United Progressive Alliance Government had won 262 seats, in comparison to the opposition, the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) that acquired mere 137 seats. The 5 year term of the UPA-2 Government is due to expire on 31st May 2014.
 

Major Reasons that will affect the 16th Lok Sabha (General) Elections of 2014

• Inflation in Prices: The second half of the year 2013 witnessed a sharp rise in the wholesale price index. The Indian National Congress lost in the Assembly elections in many States due to the price inflation and the onion was in news for being priced at Rs. 100 per kilograms.

• Riots in Muzaffarnagar: The communal clashes between members of Hindu and Muslim communities ignited the Muzaffarnagar riots on 27th August 2013. The hatred violence between the two religious communities continued for weeks in the neighboring areas of Muzaffarnagar also which resulted in the loss of lives of 43 people and left 93 people injured.

• Movement for Anti Corruption: For about 16th time in the history of India, corruption has angered the people of the country to extent of reaching the boiling point. As the major ruling party, Indian National Congress will get the tip of the spear in this anger and the sentiments of the people may give Aam Aadmi Party a strong advantage to some extent. The BJP, in the portfolio of Narendra Modi have presented a “Gujarat Model for India” and are campaigning against corruption and inflation to have a “Congress-free” India.
