Khanasahib Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

The town of Khan Sahib is situated in the Badgam district of Jammu & Kashmir. As of 2001 India census, it had a population of 2038 people. The Khan Sahib Assembly constituency falls under the parliamentary constituency of Srinagar. Hakeem Mohammad Yasin, candidate of PDF won the assembly elections of 2008 and is the current MLA. He also won the assembly elections of 2002 but as an independent candidate. In 2008, he was victorious over Saif Ud Din Bhat of PDP. Yasin gained 22616 votes over Bhat’s 14221 votes.
